How to read the boards

Frontline, ranged, cavalry and anti-shield are separate jobs. A troop in S that costs 4 stars is the wrong pick at an 8-star cap. Mongol battle-pass troops and Morningstar are documented on unit pages instead of ranked, because the public combat notes still disagree.

S tier

anti-shieldSamuraiFour-star summon with no evolution. Guides call it the high-damage answer to stacked shields and a bad troop into focused archers. One roster note says it fields 16 soldiers. Published rates cluster at 0.06 percent, not the higher Spartan rate.

Player decision Bring it to open a shield ball, and keep a frontline in front of it. Do not treat the pull as something a small Gem budget guarantees.

A tier

anti-shieldMaceThree-star shield breaker with block damage and, before Update 3, no evolution. Update coverage now gives it a Morningstar evolution at a reported 4 stars. It is a standard answer to Spartan formations.

Player decision Equip Mace when shields are the problem and 3 stars fit. Evolve to Morningstar only after you have read the new star cost; 4 stars changes the loadout.

anti-shieldHalberdierAlso written Halberder. High block damage into shields and Spartans, and a stop for cavalry that charges it. Star cost is disputed between 1 and 2. Archers are the listed answer to it. Evolves to Imperial Halberdier, whose cost is not settled.

Player decision Use the card's star number, not a wiki guess. Strong into shields, poor as your only troop if Flaming Archers are already shooting.

[MONGOLS] Command An Army ranking questions

Is this the ranked ladder?

No. It is an editorial sort of jobs that several September and October guides repeat. Your Units menu and the last match matter more than the letter.
