Spearman in [MONGOLS] Command An Army

Spearman: One-star polearm that answers cavalry. Get it by Starter selection and standard summons. Use it to Face it toward enemy riders. Charge cavalry with it. Do not use it as your only troop into a shield wall. It can evolve to Pikeman, and Update 3 coverage adds Phalangite as a further branch.

What is Spearman?

Spearman is the cheap anti-cavalry troop and the start of the Pikeman line. A September 19 patch note quoted in later roundups says spear squad size went from 24 to 28. That figure is from the quoted record, not a re-test.

FAQ

Spearman questions

Why are some star costs missing?

Halberdier and Javelineer are listed as both 1-star and 2-star in different tables. Squire, Sentinel, Longbowman, Knight, Imperial Wall, Imperial Halberdier, Rapier and Rapier Knight do not have a cost two sources share. An empty star field means the card in game is the source.

Can I summon Nokor, Bataar or Khorchin?

The official event lists them as Season 1 Mongol battle-pass units. October patch coverage says they are not standard banner pulls.
